Since our inception Applied Mechanics has organized the company in a non-hierarchical structure. The seven company members share creative control, manage the administration tasks, and collectively make decisions. This often means that things go a little slower, making sure that everyone is on the same page, however we have build systems to equally and cooperatively make decisions.

We have a set of bylaws which catalogue our ongoing decisions and to check our work on the way we run the company. Each year we have a Jamboree – this is a company retreat – to process the changes we are making as a company and aligning our decisions for the next year (and up to 3-5 years).
